Hello MetalKitchen,

The only difference between the two is that "live chat" function/button uses your web browser to connect to the SI Radio IRC chat room. Many users us mIRC or Hydra IRC (both free) to connect SI Radio chat, as it allows more control over features such as text and background colors, and is all around *(in my opinion)* easier to use, especially if you often have multiple browser windows open.

Sorry :) Mis-type there :) It's Free to TRY, and buying is pretty cheap, I think I paid $4.99 for my mIRC and I've never regretted it!

I use a irc client called HydraIRC, not as expansive as mIRC, but its free, and serves me well enough so far :)
