If you are worried about people fudging their stat rolls, but still want them to be able to make some decisions of what class to play without knowing if they will roll stats that allow that class, maybe use some standard stat array. Or come up with 2 or 3 standard arrays of your own if the default one seems too high power.

i'll only do stat arrays if everybody wants them. personally, i like to roll stats, and prefer we roll them together where we can see or something. i've already helped doragon with his character a bit, bit he will need to tweek it for the 300 gold, etc.

i don't mind being contacted by email or any other methods.

yes, i wanna do the 4d6, drop the lowest d6 stats thats pretty standard for most of us.

a couple things i would like to work out is

1. decide on means to vocally communicate.
2. frequency of play?
3. first week availability (from what i gather, noon (CST) on saturdays seems to be best for those interested.
4. if i (the DM) cannot make it for a session, is there someone willing to step in?
5. for those alternate DM's, set up a means of communication for story.

on point 5, my story style is very adaptable. i have a general idea where i want us to go story wise, but i allow the characters to make their on decisions about ho to get there. i will alter my own story before i attempt to railroad the campaign and force the players to do things they don't want, most the time. so, it is fairly easy for me to allow another DM to step in for me if needed.

having some issues with importing dungeon maps and snapping them to grid. not exactly sure why it won't resize the way it instructs me to. any help?

Yeah, the 'getting to line up with the grid' function is very cantankerous...zoom way, way...way in...nope, even more...keep zooming....keep going...

...its that finicky. but that magic '3x3' zoom way in works eventually...but when you zoom WAY back out, it'll be slightly off lots of times. Its just VERY finicky. :(

HUGE recommendation for roll20: (GM wise): characters sheets ON site are a huge benefit. saves dancing between sites for both players and GM.

Other huge recommendation: handouts that your players can read save you HOURS of repeating yourself, or dealing with that one person who never really pays attention...because they're ''multitasking'' during game. ;)
